Hi, I'm Karissa!


I'm an Integrative Nutrition Hormone Health Coach and a Certified Microdosing/Psychedelic Integration Coach and I'm passionate about teaching you how to support your female physiology and guide you on the path towards personal, spiritual ascension.

I'm a total science nerd and this medicine changed my life and my hormonal health (PMDD) in a big way. But gosh, it was so confusing learning about microdosing, especially with regards to being a woman and how to use it intentionally to connect more deeply with my rhythms. We have our own set of concerns, our own set of fears, and this medicine is just different when integrating it as a woman. There is so much information out there right now, and I totally understand that it is confusing and overwhelming.

That’s exactly why I created The Psychedelic Cycle course, so that you get the how, the what and the why...all through the lens of the cyclic nature of womanhood.

My prayer is that this course helps to make sense of the psychedelic renaissance we’re collectively partaking in with the research and objective information one would need to begin a powerful microdosing relationship with our plant/mushroom allies. What is microdosing?

Microdosing (psilocybin mushrooms) is an earth based holistic medicine that can be defined as intaking 1/10th to 1/20th of a normal dose of a psychedelic. Being that the dose is very subtle, there are no hallucinations when microdosing and you should still feel sociable and able to complete all your normal day to day tasks. In fact, microdosing should enhance your everyday life by providing you with a sense of presence, openness, and the desire and motivation to create healthier choices and habits. Microdosing is a skill and a practice that can continue to be refined for optimal life-changing benefits.

The main goal with microdosing is that it’s not intended to be a one-time/one-day experience, but rather a consistent practice with a specific protocol. Ideally, you’ll be microdosing 2-3x a week, for 30 days minimum, and up 90 days, with a clear intention and purpose behind it, maintaining a specific dosage amount and implementing wellness modalities and rituals that will support the deepening of your practice. Think, immediate and lasting results over a longer period of time.

Why microdosing to support your female physiology and hormonal rhythms?

With psilocybin assisting in the formation of new neural pathways, the microdosing practice allows for an ingraining of new, required, and sustained lifestyle shifts needed for the hormone balancing process.

Microdosing psilocybin creates a gentle shift in consciousness, allowing individuals to gain deeper insights into their thought patterns and belief systems. It helps to illuminate and bring underlying subconscious patterns and unprocessed experiences to the surface that may be contributing to self-limiting beliefs and behaviors that are ultimately holding clients back from lasting change. You can confront and process challenging emotions and/or arrive in a place of acceptance from unpacking patterns you didn’t even recognize were affecting you.


The simple consumption of a microdose alone is proving to have positive physiological adaptations on hormone regulation. Just by incorporating this medicine into their routine, clients start to experience a natural balance of their hormones as well as an innate interest in making more hormone-supportive choices.

Microdosing can assist in managing psychosomatic symptoms such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, PMDD, PPD, others related to hormonal fluctuations by targeting our brain’s serotonin receptors which is a region of your brain that tends to be responsible for your mood. Clients have reported alleviated anxiety, depression, and high stress levels, while experiencing a lift in overall mood, allowing them to navigate their daily lives with greater ease and comfort. It also allows us to more deeply connect with our body’s rhythms, so that we are better able to learn and support our needs with the fluctuating nature of our hormones. This is a good thing when you can be resourced to effectively process your emotions.

Nervous system regulation is a crucial part of the hormonal optimization process. Many busy women struggle to find time for self-care practices that support managing chronic stress that we as a society have become adapted to, and microdosing lowers barriers to partake in more rest and nervous system-supportive activities, therefore creating enough safety in the body to achieve basic functions such as regular and symptomless ovulation leading to menstruation.

HOW QUICKLY WILL I SEE RESULTS?

A lot of my students see small wins within the first few weeks, but I am unapologetically honest when I tell you that true, long-term results take time. Healing is a marathon, not a sprint and what we do now impacts our cycle health in 100 days - so you need to be willing to show up consistently for 3-6 months +. This program is not a "30 day quick fix" because those don't work. Trust me, I wish they did but I would be doing you a disservice if I told you otherwise. This program is about sustainable lifestyle changes, building a relationship with the medicine, and I recommend taking 3-4 months to implement the material (with both microdosing & hormonal blueprint)

WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?

The Psychedelic Cycle consists of 6 main modules, 3 bonus modules, and a bonus course (Hormone Happy Nutrition) that you receive access to over the course of 6 weeks. You receive instant access to Module 1 + Microdosing 101 for Women once you enroll, and the remaining 5 main modules will become available one at a time, every other week.

This is intentional so that you do not binge the program. I've worked with hundreds of clients, and this content is purposefully timed. 

That being said...it’s not about the time, it’s how committed you are to being consistent over the next 3 - 4 months to yourself and your health journey.

Simply said, it takes time for your body to make changes as you implement your new healthy habits.

 While I can't guarantee results, I can say that every menstruator who has followed the program and shown up consistently has met their goals. This program is designed to work if you work it.

WHAT IF I'M ON HORMONAL BIRTH CONTROL?

If you want to come off of Hormonal Birth Control within the next 6 months, this program can be a great fit! 

There is an entire course inside of The Psychedelic Cycle dedicated to helping you ditch HBC called Ditching HBC! This is my step-by-step guide to having the easiest breakup of your life and taking control of your health post-hormonal birth control!

I HAVE A HISTORY OF DISORDERED EATING, IS THIS PROGRAM OKAY FOR ME TO DO?

We have had clients in this program who have a history of disordered eating and they've really thrived. With that being said, it is your job to determine if you're ready for something like this. We don't damn any foods around here, but we do reevaluate nutrition in a way that can best serve your goal of healthy hormones. I recommend working with a therapist or healthcare provider in conjunction with this course to ensure that you are feeling confident about the work you're doing.

I AM VEGAN/VEGITARIAN, SO WILL THE NUTRITION PORTION STILL WORK FOR ME?

Yes! This program accommodates vegan/ vegetarian diets. ​

CAN I DO DAY-TO-DAY TASKS SUCH AS DRIVING A CAR, ATTENDING WORK MEETINGS, GO TO MY WORKOUTS, - WHILE MICRODOSING?

Yes, absolutely. Microdosing is non-hallucinogenic and in working together, we will anchor you into your appropriate dosage to ensure your days are productive, grounded and attentive to the areas you desire to focus on. With the appropriate dosage, you will 100% be able to experience all of the above, and you should feel better doing them!

HOW LONG DOES MICRODOSING LAST? IS THIS SOMETHING I KEEP TAKING OVER TIME?

 

Microdosing is a resource for you to have in your toolbox whenever you want to work with it. It’s an on-going practice that you now have in your life. Some people microdose for 90-days and feel like they achieved what they desired; they will take breaks and then begin a different protocol for different purposes. Others (such as myself and many people I know) utilize microdosing on and off. The choice is up to you! However, the benefits are long-lasting, so long as you show up fully committed and integrate your outcomes.

WHAT IF I'VE NEVER DONE PSYCHEDELICS BEFORE?

 

First of all, congratulations on taking the time to educate and inform yourself before considering this route, along with reaching out to an experienced professional to support you. This program is ideal for anyone who is new or experienced with psychedelics. You will learn everything you need to know about microdosing, along with receiving full nourishment, support, and safe guidance.

IF I AM WORKING WITH A THERAPIST, SHOULD I TELL THEM ABOUT THIS PROGRAM AND/OR STOP WORKING WITH THEM WHILE GOING THROUGH THE PROGRAM? 

 I’m not giving you medical advice and sharing this with your therapist is entirely up to you. Many people I have worked with shared this with their therapist and many clients have been referred to me by their therapist! If you are looking to taper off your medications while working together, yes, I advise you to share this with your prescribing physician.

IF I AM ALREADY EXPERIENCED WITH MICRODOSING, WILL THIS STILL BE A VALUABLE PROGRAM FOR ME?

Yes absolutely. If you already have some experience navigating any psychedelic via microdosing, this program offers you the opportunity to go deeper and perhaps receive breakthroughs and insight you may have not previously recognized. Working under the guidance of an experienced mentor will offer you clarity and accountability on exploring aspects of yourself in new profound ways. Every medicine experience is different. You will learn new integration tools and new ways to work with microdosing.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS FROM MICRODOSING? 

Microdosing is different for everyone. I’ve worked with clients where they started seeing positive changes within two days, and for others, it took two weeks. This is why working with a professional is so valuable, as there are unique ways to work with the medicine to ensure you are benefiting from your experience, without giving up out of frustration.
